The Squidmar Open Painting Challenge  once again brought together an incredible number of painters from around the world. Among the hundreds of entries, we were thrilled to see a growing number of hobbyists bringing Shroudfall miniatures  to the painting desk. And the results were fantastic! The Windrunners didn’t so much arrive back from their scouting mission, as they simply occurred in the vicinity of the Chosen of the Spirit Tree camp at a high velocity. One moment, there was a quiet forest glade; the next, there was a localized atmospheric disturbance and several Aiyani scouts lounging on branches with the casual gravity-defying arrogance of people who treated physics as a polite suggestion rather than a law.

The Windrunners are the latest addition to the Chosen of the Spirit Tree. Like leaves carried on a storm, they dance across the battlefield, disrupting enemy back lines, seizing key objectives, and striking where it hurts most.

In one of our last updates, we shared the exciting news that production of the first Shroudfall Skirmish Packs is underway. Since then, we’ve been eagerly preparing everything for their release and for our big appearance at Essen SPIEL this October.
