Objectives Worth Fighting For
- The Gamebreakers

Across Astira, Essence rarely remains unclaimed for long. Whether bursting from the earth in rich crystalline deposits or developing a rather troublesome will of its own, where Essence gathers, conflict soon follows.
Scenarios are at the heart of every Shroudfall battle, and we think the objectives you fight over deserve to look the part! Our newest scenario models bring the scenarios Monumental Mine Mountain and Apparition Ambush Adventure to life on your battlefield.
Monumental Mine Mountain: The Race for Essence

Rich deposits of Essence have broken through the surface of Astira. The prize is obvious. The only question is who can claim it first.
In the Monumental Mine Mountain scenario, several Essence Crystal Mines are scattered across the battlefield. To score Victory Points, you need to take control of these valuable crystals and keep them out of your opponent's hands.
Control is determined at the end of each game round: have more models within 1" of an Essence Crystal than your opponent, and it is yours. Some models are particularly good at holding their ground. A model with Claim Ground (3), for example, counts as three models when determining control.

But the scenario also rewards those willing to commit early. The first player to end an activation with a unit at a Mine Mountain gets to immediately harvest some of its Essence.
Do you expose a unit early to secure that extra resource, or hold back and focus on controlling the deposit when the round ends?
Apparition Ambush Adventure: Essence Fights Back

Essence is power, and power is worth fighting for. But what happens when that power develops a will of its own?
In Apparition Ambush Adventure, sentient Essence roams the battlefield and it isn't particularly happy about being controlled. The scenario uses the same control mechanic, but with a rather unpleasant twist: at the end of each game round, the player who doesn't control an Essence Apparition gets to place it within 2". At its final position, the Apparition lashes out and damages those unfortunate enough to be nearby.
This creates a very different fight for control. Claiming an Apparition scores you the objective, but losing control gives you the chance to turn it against your opponent. Positioning around an Apparition therefore isn't just about how many models you can get there. You also need to consider where it might end up and who might get caught in its path.
Same Scenarios, Better Battlefields
Both sets are optional scenario models designed to replace the cardboard scenario tokens included in the Shroudfall Skirmish Pack. You don't need the models to play the scenarios, and they don't provide any gameplay advantage.
They simply make the things you're fighting over look worthy of the fight!
The Essence Crystal Mines for Monumental Mine Mountain and Essence Apparitions for Apparition Ambush Adventure are available now!
