For years, the world of Shroudfall has lived on tabletops, in stories, and in the imaginations of players exploring the dark corners of Astira. Today, we’re excited to share something we’ve been quietly working toward behind the scenes:
A Shroudfall TV series is officially in development.
Yes, you read that correctly. The grim streets of Highreach, the creeping horrors beyond the Shroud, and the many factions battling over the fate of humanity may soon be brought to life on screen.
While the project is still in early production and many details remain under wraps, discussions with studios and creative teams have been extremely promising. The goal is to capture the same atmosphere that defines the game: a world where mystery, horror, political intrigue, and monstrous experiments collide beneath the dim glow of lanternlight.
Early Casting Talks

Casting is still being finalized, but a few exciting possibilities have already surfaced.
One of the most enthusiastic supporters of the project is Henry Cavill, who has reportedly expressed strong interest in portraying Count Wealton Adamant, the Third. Cavill is pushing for a very lore-accurate interpretation of the character, even requesting access to internal background documents about Astira’s noble houses.
Meanwhile, Sophie Turner is the leading candidate to play Lady Eleanor Ravenswood, the enigmatic Phantom Baroness. Known for her portrayal of Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones and as Lara Croft in Tomb Raider, Turner brings both gravitas and a strong fan following. Eleanor secretly controls Highreach’s red-light district and the distribution of Essence Dust while manipulating events through illusion magic and careful political maneuvering.
Both Cavill and Turner have already visited Vienna to meet the Shroudfall team and get a firsthand feel for the world they'll be portraying on screen.
Bringing Astira to Life
The series aims to explore multiple perspectives within the Shroudfall world:
The political games and secrets of Highreach’s elite
The sinister experiments of the Umbral Veil
The growing tension surrounding the Shroud and the tears forming within it
And the monstrous forces gathering beyond humanity’s fragile defenses
Fans can expect familiar faces, dark revelations about the origins of the Shroud, and perhaps even a glimpse of the horrors lurking beyond the Shroud itself.
More to Come
Because the project is still in its early stages, there’s much more to reveal in the coming months. Concept art, additional casting announcements, and story teasers are all expected as development continues.
For now, we simply wanted to share this exciting step for the world of Shroudfall. Seeing Astira brought to life beyond the tabletop has always been a dream - and we can’t wait to show you more.
Stay tuned for further updates.
And remember… break the game ... especially on April 1st.
