Today we’re taking a closer look at the Skirmish Pack for the Chosen of the Spirit Tree!

Tasked by the Spirit Tree itself with restoring balance to nature, the Chosen of the Spirit Tree will let nothing stand in the way of their divine mission.

Riku & Scalebreaker

Together with the Skirmish Pack a new Essence Weaver will join the ranks of the Chosen of the Spirit Tree: Riku & Scalebreaker.

Unlike many of the Aiyani, Riku never excelled at channeling his magic beyond his own body. Instead, his gift lay in pushing his own form to its utmost potential. Among both Aiyani and Ailur he is renowned - feared even - as one of the most infamous Beastbane, a slayer of countless creatures, especially dragonkin. His trusted sword, Scalebreaker, has become a symbol of dread to especially the Kazyr, who have watched many of their scaled gods fall before the slight frame of Riku.

On the tabletop, Riku is a fast and deadly melee fighter, perfectly suited for strike-and-fade tactics. He hits where it hurts, then slips away, throwing enemy lines into chaos.

At the core of his playstyle is his passive ability, "Momentum", which allows him to reposition whenever he hits an enemy model. Combined with abilities that build on this mechanic - such as "Leaping Smash" - and reinforced by his Leadership, Riku becomes incredibly difficult to pin down.

The Chosen of the Spirit Tree embody balance - unyielding offense and stoic resilience flowing together like the tides. On the tabletop, this Skirmish Pack offers great versatility, combining the strong offensive power of Riku & Scalebreaker and the Serene Dragons, with the powerful control gameplay of the Beastbane Vanguard and Lirana Greanleaf.

However, such power comes at a cost: this Skirmish Pack can quickly consume your Essence reserves. The pack's movement and control abilities are potent tools, but they drain essence fast. Each round, you’ll be challenged to carefully prioritize where to invest your precious Essence to maximize their impact.
